Sarah Heard and Nathan Lemley are the chefs and co-owners. Originally from Katy, Nathan met Sarah, a Lockhart high school graduate, while working at Austin's Parkside in 2013. In 2017, they purchased Foreign & Domestic, and have since been awarded "Best Neighborhood Restaurant" & "Best Austin Chef." In 2020, amid the pandemic, they created their very own Commerce Cafe in downtown Lockhart.
